You are here: Camera Systems > Medium range surveillance low light colour mono camera 2898

The 2898-750-500 camera system is a highly adaptable ruggedised medium range surveillance camera designed to fulfil the requirement for a low maintenance camera system which provides colour imagery by day and night, down to 0.003 lux

(1/4 moonlight).

The camera features an internal 5 port filter wheel with clear, polarising and haze (fog) filters installed, plus two user specified filters, (usually 650 cut and 650 pass filters).

The 2898 series is especially suited for surveillance over water, where the polarising filter reduces the effect of glare, and also over areas where haze or fog degrades the picture. The built-in haze filter improves the penetration through these atmospheric conditions.

The EMCCD camera sensor (658 x 496 pixels) provides 450TV lines resolution in colour and 470TV lines in monochrome. When tracking IR emitting systems, aircraft etc., the IR response enables tracking at long distance. The camera is fitted with a high resolution 25X zoom lens (20mm - 500mm F3 - 7.5) which when coupled with the 1/2" format CCD gives a field of view from 0.75° through to 18.75°, (equals 9.6M FoV).

The zoom lens and camera is controlled via serial data via standard protocols and an IP option is available.
